Unveiling of Joel Stone Heritage Park ~ a new waterfront space that shares our 1812 heritage with the installation of the large flagpole, amphitheater,  historic canons and more!

RIBFEST

Ribfest will be held over the Canada Day long weekend in the Town Hall Park in the heart of the beautiful town of Gananoque, the gateway to the world famous 1000 Islands.  Now in its 7th year, this popular event is jointly organized and hosted by the Rotary Club and the Lions Club of Gananoque.  It attracts well over 35,000 visitors who come to enjoy live music, great food and some fantastic deals. Children are delighted with the free pony rides and the other events and attractions designed especially for them.

On the evening of Canada Day, we hold a fantastic fireworks display to celebrate the birthday of our great country.

Ribfest is Pet-free so please don’t bring your pets.

All proceeds from this fundraising event are returned back to the community through charitable organizations who receive donations from both the Rotary Club of Gananoque and the Lions Club of Gananoque.

1000 Islands Big Bass Challenge

Join us in your canoe, rowboat, bass boat anything that floats, our big bass challenge is a family fun weekend for everyone.
All you need is a boat and a fishing rod, this tournament takes place during Ontario Family Fishing week where Canadian residents fish license free.

$35 per person – children accompanied by an adult fish for free

Catch the big one and win money! Every hour on the hour we give away a prize for the biggest bass caught. Not just one day but two days in a row.
Lots of activities for everyone in the family – casting pond, fishing contests, vendors and more.  The 1000 Islands Big Bass Challenge is a family oriented day with lots of great prizes for everyone.  So come one and all, come try our 1000 Islands Big Bass Challenge and don’t let the big one get away.
